Welcome to an Isle of Skye self catering holiday experience.Seal Haven CottageMay we introduce you to Seal Haven our totally renovated, self catering, traditional holiday cottage. This cottage accommodation has been home to a Skye family for nearly a century and will give you a feel for what it was like to live in a crofter's cottage on the Isle of Skye, without compromising on comfort. The cottage is a well appointed and recently modernised holiday cottage accommodation, standing on a hillside overlooking Loch Dunvegan, and is an excellent choice for your self catering holiday. Dunvegan Castle, one of the best known of Scottish castles, lies on the other side of the loch, a short five or six minutes drive from Seal Haven.

Cottage LocationThe cottage is situated in the township of Skinidin, a village near Dunvegan, in the north west peninsula of the Isle of Skye. Within five minutes walk from the cottage door, lies the well known Three Chimneys Restaurant, in the adjacent township of Colbost. In 2011 Scottish Restaurant Awards voted the Three Chimneys the Best Rural Restaurant. In addition to receiving many accolades for the quality of its cuisine over the years, The Three Chimneys won an Observer Food Monthly award for Best Location, in 2006. It was voted by readers of this national magazine as being the best located restaurant in the UK. Look it up in the good food guides. This location, on the Isle of Skye, is as superb as ever, and as mentioned above, Seal Haven Self-Catering Holiday Cottage is just 400 metres from the restaurant. At the cottage doorWildlife abounds, and seals, otters, red deer and eagles can all be seen from the door of the cottage. A little further away at Neist Point, the most westerly headland of Skye, whales, basking sharks and a variety of sea birds are routinely spotted by our cottage guests.
