Visitor Comments 2010/2011
Last visitor comment of 2010 and first of 2011

Mixed weather but no mixed feelings - we all loved our first trip to
Skye! There is so much we could mention but we would highly recommend:
Dunvegan Castle - very interesting local history, the gardens are well
worth a look.
Neist Point - wild, windy and wonderful!
Coral Beach - Pleasant walk, glorious views.
Two Churches Walk - nice woodland walk, not too strenuous.
The bakery in Dunvegan - perfect pastries, cracking cakes + blooming
brilliant bread!
We could easily spend hours enjoying the views from the cottage,
including watching seals and golden eagles from the doorstep - and a
short walk to the waters edge brings you face to face with the seals!
We would finally like to make a heartfelt recommendation that you pay a
visit to the Giant Angus Macaskill museum in Dunvegan. A small museum
with a wealth of information. The friendly owner was not only
knowledgable about Angus Macaskill but he was a mine of local
information that he was more than happy to share with us.
The highlight of our holiday however, has been returning to Seal Haven
every day - a lovely cottage well placed to enjoy all that Skye has to
offer.
Enjoy!

January 2011
In this beautiful homely cottage, we have had a truly memorable week.
Although the weatwer has been mixed, we have so welcomed the
opportunity to visit various parts of the island, amd to enjoy
unforgettable coastal walks and sea views. There is so much more still
to see, and it is our earnest hope to return to Seal Haven, and to
continue our exploration of this stunning island.
Meantime what a pleasure it has been to return to this lovely cottage,
warm and cosy, and to reflect on the day enjoyed.
We return home refreshed and reinvigorated by our times here, and by
the memories which wil remain with us in the months ahead.
Our sincere thanks to Denise and Neil for the warmth of their welcome,
and for the opportunity to share, albeit briefly, life on Skye, amidst
the the magnificence of the scenery and the delights of this cottage in
its stunning location.
Willie and Lesley.
